The Red Elephant Battalion competed on Nov. 14 in Milledgeville, Ga. in a Sanctioned (State Qualifying) Drill, Athletic and Academic Meet. Once again they came out on top with a 1st PLACE Overall Win. At this stage of the game, the NJROTC Big Red Machine is the #1 Seed in the entire state of Georgia. Our only challenge now will be the 4 power house schools in North Florida. We will not stop working, as our only goal is a State (Area-12 Championship). This will bring a trip to the Navy Nationals in Pensacola, Florida. Please keep in mind while reading the results below, we are infants in the competition phase of JROTC. These cadet's have truly risen to the occasion. We are 1 year and less than a semester old. NOT BAD ! ! ! ! !
Who says girls can't do push-ups????? Our own Karen Ruiz not only won 1st Place Female Push-Ups, she beat every male during the athletic phase. How many you ask..... How about 89 correct push-ups ! ! ! ! !

The NJROTC Red Elephant Battalion participated in a State Qualifying Academic, Drill and Athletic Meet Oct. 17 in Stockbridge, Ga. They went to war against 15 other schools from all around the state, including the past State Champion. It was indeed a battle. The competition consist of eleven events. Personnel Inspection (all cadets) , Academic Testing (15 cadets), Athletics consisting of Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, 16 x 100 relay, and 8 x 220 relay, and 5 separate Drill Events consisting of Unarmed Basic Drill, Armed Basic Drill, Unarmed Exhibition (fancy) Drill, Armed Exhibition, and Color Guard.
