She started to work when her youngest son started school in 1991 as a sub in the GHS cafeteria. She worked here two years before transferring to Hall County Schools so that she would be on the same schedule as her children. In 2006, she came back to work with Gainesville City Schools at Fair Street, where she became manager in 2007. She transferred to GHS this school year coming full circle.
